Kaizer Chiefs defender Zitha Kwinika has heaped praise on his teammate Itumeleng Khune and described his playing strategy when he’s in goals.
The veteran 35-year-old ‘keeper made a return to Amakhosi’s starting line-up for the first time in over a year when Chiefs played Stellenbosch FC in the MTN8 quarter-final last week.

Khune has been the slave of injury issues in the recent seasons which contributed to him losing the number one spot at Bafana Bafana number and club level.
Kwinika who has just played two games with ‘Spider-man’ since rejoining the club this season says Khune wants things to be “quick” when playing the ball from the back.

“When you speak about Itu, you speaking about one of the best in the country and the continent, he seen it all, he has the experience,” Kwinika said as per iDiski Times.
“It’s one of those things, that any day, I can play with Bruce, he’s my brother I can do anything to save him, same with Itu, it’s just about who’s behind me.

“None of the keepers are the same. Each one prefers doing things their own way – you need to understand how the other one is. Brandon is more of a ball player and Itu when he has the ball, [he] wants things to be quick and the distribution.
“It’s about trying to understand and knowing who’s behind you but at any given day. Whoever is behind us, our job is just to defend and protect him and help the team to get results.”
