The goal, according to him, besides setting the records straight, is to encourage others to aspire to the top because they don’t know how much they can accomplish until they try. Anyway, the “Doc Shebeleza” chanter has blown his trumpet again.

In case you missed it, for a while back, the prevailing narrative was that South African hip hop is dead. However, Cass himself had delved into amapiano, and some rappers had urged him to remain there and not sneak back into the hip-hop fold because he saw a new revival. His associate Big Zulu released “150 Bars”, in which he dissed several names in South African hip hop.

The diss track elicited responses from key figures, including K.O and Kwesta. Big Zulu was therefore credited with reviving South African hip hop. Cassper Nyovest would disagree with that, though.
