Lebo M Speaks Out Against Wife’s Alleged Cheating And Fraud

Renowned Grammy award winner and the mastermind behind The Lion King’s iconic music, Lebo M, whose real name is Lebohang Morake, has made startling accusations against his estranged wife, Pretty Samuels, branding her as both a cheat and a fraudster.

The shocking revelations came to light through a source close to Morake, who opted to remain anonymous for fear of potential consequences.

The Allegations

According to associates of Samuels, Morake’s decision to end their relationship was triggered by financial disputes, particularly concerning an anticipated $10-million windfall from the sale of his music catalog in the United States.

Allegedly, Morake was unwilling to share this substantial sum with Samuels, despite being married in a community of property, a claim that Morake vehemently denies.

Furthermore, Samuels is reported to be seeking R250,000 per month in spousal maintenance and an additional R2.5-million for legal fees until their divorce proceedings conclude.

Morake’s Perspective

In an exclusive interview with Sunday World, Morake’s confidant shared insights into the musician’s viewpoint. Morake attributes the collapse of their 18-month marriage to Samuels’ infidelity and lack of trustworthiness.

Allegations of paranoia arose when Morake allegedly caught Samuels covertly recording a private conversation, leading to a breakdown in trust between the couple.

Since their separation in July 2023, Morake claims to have had no contact with Samuels and is unaware of her current whereabouts.

Financial Allegations

Morake further alleges financial impropriety on Samuels’ part, citing her previous employment at the National Films and Video Foundation, during which he claims she misappropriated over R2 million.

Although the matter was reportedly resolved with Morake’s intervention, he contends that Samuels refused to furnish him with the settlement agreement.

Furthermore, Morake suggests that Samuels should utilize her pension or provident funds to repay the misappropriated funds.

Past Relationships

If the couple were to divorce, it would mark Morake’s fifth failed marriage. Prior to Samuels, Morake was married twice to Angela Casara before their final split in 2017.

His first marriage was to Nandi Ndlovu, with whom he shares two children. Accusations of infidelity led to the demise of their relationship. Morake’s subsequent marriage to Viveca Gibson also ended in divorce.

Between marriages, Morake was romantically linked with former Generations: The Legacy actress Zoe Mthiyane, and later proposed to Malefu “Mel” Ntsala, only for the relationship to end amid allegations of infidelity.

Efforts to obtain comments from Samuels have been unsuccessful.
