Defense counsel Thulani Mngomezulu has raised serious allegations during the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial, pointing fingers at Longwe Twala, who was conspicuously absent from court proceedings.
Longwe Twala gets accused of Senzo Meyiwa murder
Five individuals are currently standing trial for the murder of the revered Bafana Bafana captain, who tragically lost his life to a fatal gunshot wound in 2014.
According to Mngomezulu, Twala, present at the Khumalo residence on the fateful night, allegedly discharged the fatal shot that claimed Meyiwa’s life.
“This is the defense’s stance, not the prosecution’s. I intend to summon that witness. The perpetrator who ended Senzo Meyiwa’s life is not among us in this courtroom,” Mngomezulu asserted.
In a rebuttal, Mogola retorted, “The individuals responsible for Senzo Meyiwa’s demise are indeed present in this very courtroom.”
“Senzo was fatally wounded. Based on the evidence at hand, he was shot while intervening in the altercation between Longwe and Zandi,” Mngomezulu interjected.
