The news of Dinkybliss’s death broke on social media on Sunday, November 13. It was also confirmed by her manager, Bukhosi Heshu-Ngcingolo that she has indeed passed on.
According to Heshu-Ngcingolo, the 29-year-old died at Hillbrow Clinic on Sunday morning.
“It is with deep sadness that we share the news of Rethabile Potsane, also known as Dinkybliss, has passed away in the early hours of of today (Sunday) at Hillbrow Clinic,” the manager said.
The cause of her death is yet to be announced. The family has requested for privacy during their time of grief.
Shirley Adonisi, director of M-Net local entertainment channels, also took to the net to confirm Potsane’s death.
“Mzansi Magic is saddened to hear of the passing of one of the ‘Big Brother Mzansi’ season 3 contestants, Rethabile ‘Dinkybliss’ Potsane,” said Adonisi.
She continued, “Dinkybliss captured the hearts of many South Africans with her outgoing and vibrant personality on the show that solidified her standing as a mover and shaker.”
The media personality, Potsane described herself as “pretty, loud, proud, bold and a foodie”. This is on her social media biography, and we must say she was full of life and lived according to her description.
Not forgetting that she was also a fashion killer. These are some of the things that many will remember her by, as she was socialite full of life.
“She enjoys socialising and vibing. She shoots straight from the hip and says she’s constantly evolving and learning,” read her bio on the Mzansi Magic website.“ Apart from partying, she keeps fit by playing hockey.”
A fan favourite, Potsane’s eviction from the Big Brother house earlier in the year caused a stir, with fans complaining that she deserved to stay longer because she was more entertaining than other housemates.
