Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Lebohang Maboe is relishing the challenge of facing Egyptian giants Zamalek in Saturday’s decisive CAF Confederation Cup clash at the Suez Canal Stadium.
With Group D qualification on the line, Chiefs need just a point to secure a quarterfinal spot, while Zamalek must win after their shock defeat to Zesco last weekend.
“These are the type of games I came here to play,” Maboe told the club’s official website. “When you sign for a big team, you want to be in hostile environments where the odds are stacked against you. Once you step onto the pitch, the crowd doesn’t matter — what matters is focusing on your job and putting the team through.”
