Authorities have confirmed that suffocation was the cause of death at Enyobeni tavern tragedy

Parents of the 21 teenagers who passed away at Enyobeni Tavern in East London received the toxicology report with details of what caused the passing of their children.

The Eastern Cape authorities are released the report today after months of investigations.

The 21 teenagers died under mysterious circumstances at Enyobeni Tavern in Scenery Park on the 26th of June 2022.

The youngest was just thirteen years old. The parents had spent two months waiting to know what caused the deaths of their children.

It is believed the teenagers passed away due to suffocation resulting from overcrowding in the tavern.
