TS Galaxy Football Club has bid farewell to several players, including the legendary defender Vuyo Mere, as they prepare for the upcoming season. Mere, who boasts an impressive 23-year career in professional football, will be leaving the club along with other notable names such as Bernard Parker, Hugo Vidal, Lindokuhle Mbatha, Vasilije Kolak, Orebotse Mongae, and Lehlohonolo Mojela. Mojela is set to join Stellenbosch FC.
While Mere’s retirement remains unconfirmed, there are rumors that he may take up a coaching position with the TS Galaxy reserve team under the guidance of club chairman Tim Sukazi. The 39-year-old defender began his professional journey with Sundowns in 2004, subsequently playing for Moroka Swallows, Platinum Stars, and Bidvest Wits. He later returned to Moroka Swallows, playing a pivotal role in securing their PSL status in 2020 after winning the National First Division (NFD)
