Skeem Saam’s latest episode on Tuesday 1 November saw viewers shocked that the ruthless businessman Lehasa Maphosa has emotions.
Lehasa (Cedric Fourie) soaked up his pillow with Pretty Seakamela (Lerato Marabe) lying next to him and feeling totally useless. It is starting to sink in that everything he has may go down the drain.
LEHASA GOES TO JAIL?
Everyone who could possibly defend Lehasa’s shady dealings and murderous tendencies has done so.
This is with the exception of Kgosi who ‘plead the fifth’ when he was confronted with some questions.
The day before he was supposed to testify, Kgosi wanted to back out because he realised there was nothing in it for him.
“The thing is I’ve thought about this a lot. I can’t testify for you. Boss, there’s nothing in it for me. I have nothing. I don’t even have a proper place,” Kgosi told Lehasa.
After the verdict on Monday, not much is revealed by the teasers regarding Lehasa going to jail but with the November’s teasers lack of information, could it mean that he will take a break from the educational soapie by going to jail?
PRETTY UNABLE TO SUPPORT HER HUSBAND
Khwezi (Samukele Mkhize) has been a thorn in Prehasa’s life. She makes it a point to remind Pretty that she is failing at doing the one thing Lehasa needs.
Pretty has however tried to be as supportive as she can. She even told him that she cannot imagine how he feels with the looming verdict.
When Pretty catches Lehasa and Khwezi plotting to bribe Judge Mavimbela, she flips and tells Lehasa to not consider it because he will regret it.
Lehasa defends their actions by stating that “these are desperate time…perhaps a bribe could be the only way”.
Khwezi chimes in and tells Pretty, “that she is going nowhere until she makes sure that the father of baby is out of the woods. Unfortunately, i cant say the same about you. You failed to see that your man is stressed and needs help yet you sleep next to him”
