Pretty was going to see Lehasa but Marothi stood in her way.
She asked him what was happening. “I couldn’t believe it when your brother told me what you’d done, young Seakamela.”
Said Marothi. He was referring to Pretty choosing Lehasa over her family.
Pretty asked him how was is it any of his business and he didn’t reply.
He told her that he was disappointed in her.
He continued to tell her that he knows that Lehasa would never respect women from Turfloop.
He told her that he should have mentored her.
Pretty couldn’t even say anything. Marothi told her that she is smart and the thing of her supporting Lehasa was not right. He even told her that Khwezi will tell her to leave Lehasa’s house once Lehasa is arrested.
But, where will Pretty go because she has turned against her family. But her mother loves her and she will welcome her if she returns.
