Orlando Pirates star Monnapule Saleng has revealed the details around how Kaizer Chiefs narrowly MISSED out on signing him up.
The Buccaneers signed their talisman from Free State Stars back in 2021 however things could’ve been extremely different.
Saleng has revealed that Kaizer Chiefs actually first made contact with him however a delay in getting the deal done allowed the Buccaneers to swoop in and land him at the expense of their rivals!

“I was meant to play for Kaizer Chiefs because there was a scout that was tracking me while I was at Free State Stars,” Saleng told the Bafana Bafana media department as quoted by IOL.
“I don’t know what happened. In the end, I ended up playing for Orlando Pirates. I could have played for Chiefs after Free State Stars, but they delayed.”
He scored 21 goals for his side last season and will undoubtedly add some much needed fire-power to Jose Riveiro’s side.
