The winners of the inaugural Basadi in Music Awards (BIMAs) in South Africa were announced at the Gallagher Estate Convention Centre in Johannesburg on 15 October.
While we are proud of all the winners, one winner that seems to have made us proud as a youth magazine is Boohle.
Boohle walked away with the coveted Amapiano Artist Of The Year award and we are super excited!
Taking to social media to express great gratitude, Boohle thanked her fans for the love and support throughout her career.

Although the Basadi in Music Awards nominations were dominated by Amapiano artists, Lamiez Holworthy and Lerato Kganyago also shined bright at the Gallagher Convention Centre on 15 October.
Holworthy won the DJ of the Year and Music TV Presenter of the Year Awards while Kganyago walked away with Entertainment Radio Presenter of the Year and the Mosadi Business Achievement Award which was also awarded to DJ Zinhle and Dineo Ranaka.
