K.O’s single makes some waves as it hits gold status

Taking to Twitter, MrCashTime expressed his excitement after SETE broke the record for the fastest gold single in SA streaming history.

The rapper further acknowledged Blxckie and YoungStunna for their contributions to the song and everyone involved.

Speaking to news outlets, K.O said his creative goal with the single was to create a fusion of different worlds where the artists’ skill and sound were showcased and thrived on a neutral and mutual platform.

“I reached out and started connecting with Young Stunna and Blxckie earlier this year.

Met the homies a couple of times, chopped it up and naturally, the opportunity came for them to be part of the record, and I am happy it worked out this way,” he said about how the collaboration came about.

K.O spoke about what his fans could look forward to in his upcoming album and said it would showcase his growth.

“I am showcasing my growth as K.O, as a man and artistically,” he said.

“I am back on my old ish [sic].

I’m back in my bag.

People can expect something not far off from Skhanda Republic 1, not the same songs but the Kasi mentality, the rawness and speaking uninhibitedly on certain social matters and current affairs. That is the headspace.”
